Since 1979, Insight for Living (IFL) has been committed to excellence in teaching the study and application of God’s Word. Pastor Chuck Swindoll and his wife, Cynthia, began the ministry by broadcasting Pastor Chuck’s Bible-teaching program, Insight for Living, on 18 stations. Today, the program airs on more than 2,000 stations, can be streamed through various online channels, and can be heard in 70 countries and eight languages.

We also produce quality Bible-study resources, have a dynamic online presence, provide pastoral counseling, and actively walk alongside listeners through life’s challenges. As a ministry, we’re committed to Vision 195, our strategic mission to pursue Jesus’ Great Commission by extending God’s grace and making disciples in all 195 countries and their 6,875 heart languages.

In addition to our international headquarters in Frisco, Texas, we currently have ministry offices in 10 countries, where our pastors translate resources, train church leaders to use Pastor Chuck’s Searching the Scriptures Bible-study methods, serve their communities, and pursue Vision 195 in their languages. Position Summary

The Print Communications Manager (manager) serves IFL by assisting with project management for the print communications and publications of the ministry. The manager oversees timely deliverables, maintains project timelines, and ensures process improvements are identified and implemented as needed. With a strong desire to support the mission of IFL, the manager possesses the gifts of organization, systems management, communication, and project design. Additionally, the manager develops and oversees project timelines, implementations, and completion. A servant leader, self-starter, and forward thinker with strong attention to detail, the manager ensures all work is completed with the utmost care and diligence.

Core Job Functions

      Project Initiation (25%)
  • Oversees project intake and manages process initiation request form (PIRF) process
  • Collaborates with client to distill the project vision into a clear set of deliverables
  • Identifies content needs of the project, formulates a design concept, and charts the scope of work
  • Consults on print and format options and provides input on design and communications considerations
  • Provides print and production pricing information
  • Serves as liaison between clients and the creative team by communicating accurate direction and creative vision
  • Anticipates future client needs and provides project forecasting
  • Identifies timeframes for projects and charts proposed project schedule for clients and stakeholders
  • Communicates team needs and questions with clients/stakeholders to ensure successful project setup

      Project Planning (20%)
  • Schedules project timelines from inception to delivery date and communicates timelines with all stakeholders
  • Maintains awareness of overall team demands and schedules
  • Resolves division resource distribution needs
  • Creates and maintains projects in project management system to coordinate timelines, tasks, and communication of project work
  • Records project traffic information
  • Oversees and facilitates project communication
  • Documents project contributions
  • Coordinates content preparation with all parties involved, ascertaining relevant permissions and troubleshooting content hurdles as needed
  • Prepares all necessary information and resources for designers to create deliverables
  • Prepares systems, reviews processes, and communications plans to ensure project success
  • Analyzes projects and processes for efficiency and optimal outcomes

      Project Execution (20%)
  • Operates as liaison between client and team members regarding project questions and needs
  • Communicates project progress with team and stakeholders by regularly updating communications channels
  • Facilitates process of reviews and approvals
  • Monitors project progress for timeliness and quality
  • Troubleshoots and course-corrects when discrepancies arise

      Project Closing (15%)
  • Manages print orders process
  • Communicates with printers regarding project needs and deliverables
  • Ensures receipt of final deliverables
  • Distributes print files to U.S. and international distribution lists
  • Reviews and coordinates approvals of print proofs
  • Distributes print samples and maintains project archives
  • Organizes and closes project files
  • Records and evaluates project financial performance
  • Maintains notes on lessons learned for future projects

Project Vision and Integration (5%)
  • Maintains a clear and up-to-date awareness of the vision for the department
  • Ensures all projects effectively align with the department vision and support the ministry’s mission
  • Tailors, adapts, and troubleshoots departmental systems to uphold the department vision and support the ministry’s mission

Team Member Contribution (10%)
  • Models IFL’s core values through daily conduct
  • Exerts initiative and drive to improve departmental and organizational operations
  • Owns problems, creates solutions, and maintains personal accountability for results

Professional Development (5%)

Position Specifications

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with minimum five or more years’ experience with at least two or more years manager level experience
  • Ability to lead initiatives and juggle several complex projects simultaneously
  • Excellent process-implementation skills
  • Attention to detail and superior organizational skills while multitasking
  • Professional interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence with the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with constituents, donors, staff, and executives

*This is a full-time hybrid position and will require on-site work, Tuesday through Thursday.
